Do you have faith in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an integral part of western society and many of us matured using this magical icon. Recently I came upon the concept that Santa represents an exclusive archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is identified as an inherited memory represented from the mind by way of a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching for these symbolic images of the dear old man I discovered that which Santa Claus is short for may also be used to motivate us in creating for that new year. I see him like a fun-loving guy which brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes become a reality. During this season we are full of expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment of being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, along with the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I learn that proof of santa reflects several archetypes. He is visible in the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope and to believe that a better day lies ahead. He is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith and also the trust that every will probably be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, will not be within the exercise of power this is the motive, although the drive to bestow care on individuals who want it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He is about giving to others fulfilling their needs. And then he fails to require anything in exchange except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He seems to be a powerful guy, settling on who turns into a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. If we are good of course, if we believe, Santa will ensure we have everything we want.
A tremendous aspect of Santa’s story is definitely the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney with the touch of his nose along with his yearly trek worldwide. And in addition, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and want to all, one child’s heart at a time. Santa is the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to discover new ways of dealing, being and succeeding.
When we are creating our dreams, our visions, and our options for 2010, let’s all remember to use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you have selected and after that more clearly defined your options in creating your 2010 Journey, take advantage of this technique to shift your beliefs and allowing of the which you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from a grown-up element of attempting to force, worrying over and wondering how things changes, towards the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. A vital component of the skill of Allowing would be to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings permits us to open to the Infinite Possibilities of the Universe.
Then too, we could liken Santa’s management skills to some universal manager. Can you envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, in only one night? And all punctually and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe is capable of doing for us, once we turn it onto God/Source. In the book “Ask & It Really Is Given” one of several Proven Processes is catchusanta it to the manager. When we set our goals, it’s like delegating to a Universal Manager. So when we take a step back, and enable the Universe set things in place, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not stopping choices, we’re merely turning over all the details and creating our choices.
I urge you to concentrate on giving up to your Universal Manager everything you sense you should do in this holiday week. You’ll believe it is amazing that as we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve performed this personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all the chores I feel I must do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, while some just don’t seem essential. I’ve had situations when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to accomplish a few of the baking. I’ve learned to just accept help and reply using a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in most aspects of life, not only the holidays. The Law of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that should occur to bring me my desires, Now.
